OTC Antihistamine helpful for Alopecia Areata

Taking an over-the-counter antihistamine, such as Allegra, has been shown to help patients with alopecia areata grow new hair. This medication is available without a prescription and the generic form is available as well. Hair regrowth was specific for bald patches due to alopecia areata and worked well when combined with other treatments.
