Is Dysport better than Botox?

This is a commonly asked question and you will hear many different opinions on this subject. The simple unbiased answer is, if there is a real difference between the two, it is likely extremely negligible. There are several OTHER factors that affect one’s results–such as number of units used, injection technique, and the dilution used for each product.

What we do know is that providers get discounts from the manufacturers for buying in bulk. Therefore, provider A may pay 15% less for one product versus the other, while the reverse may be true for provider B. Additionally, many providers purchase products illegally from overseas.

What I recommend is that: (1) find a provider that you like and trust; and (2) if there is a price difference between the two products, try the less expensive product. The bottom line–patients are usually happy with either product.
